Organic Marketing Advice

Hello, my name is Mike Perras and I just wanted to share some organic marketing advice through a project I started on January 21, 2009.

The point was to prove that you could rank well in Google quickly through organic marketing versus counting on AdWords.

Through Blogging, Social Bookmarking, Article Marketing, RSS Feeds and Pinging I was able to bring a blog from nowhere to page # 1 and position # 2 in Google in under 15 days.

I did this in a busy area with 8 million related pages for the long tail keyword phrase Best Affiliate Marketing Tools.

As authority sites, the social bookmarking sites and RSS feeds placed a pointer to the blog high within Google on the very first day of the project. Within a few days, these links to the blog through the social bookmarking and RSS feeds brought the ranking of the actual blog up in the rankings organically. Meaning, through natural SEO growth versus through traditional paid advertising.

Always keep in mind, paid positioning works very well, as long as you keep paying for it. Stop paying and your site can fade off into oblivion overnight. Natural growth on the other hand comes from too many natural authority sources to just die off quickly.

It was these respected authority sites and their backlinks to the blog that did the majority of the ranking work.

I did a YouTube video on the subject and did a rant as well. No one needs 25 DVD's and $12,000.00 in bonus giveaways to learn this. We aren't idiots. All we wanted is a well edited product with the How To and we'll be just fine. You'll likely agree with my ranting moment.

My rant said things like, I don't need to see a snap shot of your Clickbank sales. I need to see proof that your stuff works. Not some testimonial from a guy somewhere or another guru guy. Just show me the proof online .. period! And my organic marketing advice comes from the proof I have achieved! No fluff, no hype, no guru .. just solid organic marketing advice!

Here are two links to blogs I created. These are not fancy at all, that wasn't the idea. Through the proper use of long tail keyword research both blogs have gone on to rank well and quickly in Google.
